Foreign Language Courses in London

At United International College we offer a wide range of foreign languages. The emphasis is on
practical usage so speaking and actively using the language is central to all lessons. Our interactive and personalised approach ensures that you start speaking from the first day.

We don't want our students just to know a language, we want them to be able to use it!!

The courses are designed for those who wish to study a language over a period of time. With the aid of a text book or handouts, the syllabus aims to provide useful, relevant language using up-to-date and interesting materials, as well as encouraging participants to practise the language to help confidence and develop fluency.

Choose from:

Spanish	available as full class, one to one and corporate
Portuguese	available as one-to-one and corporate only
Italian	available as full class, one to one and corporate
French	available as full class, one to one and corporate
German	available as full class, one to one and corporate
Dutch	available as one-to-one and corporate only
Russian	available as one-to-one and corporate only
Arabic	available as one-to-one and corporate only
Chinese	available as full class, one to one and corporate
Japanese	available as full class, one to one and corporate

* Classes run in the evening from 6.30 to 8.30
* Maximum students in a class 12.

Programmes run consecutively, providing the opportunity for continuous training, allowing students to progress and move up to a higher level once the course is finished.

I do not understand or speak any of the target language .	I can understand a little and can speak a few words.	I understand quite well. I can speak in familiar situations. I can read simple but find writing difficult.	I speak well but not fluently. I understand what is said to me and can read fairly well. I can write simple sentences but make mistakes.	I can understand almost everything that is said to me. I can speak confidently and my writing is quite good.	I make few mistakes and understand nearly everything. I communicate effectively in both spoken and written.

Take a language test

We have students from all walks of life from business people learning a language for professional reasons, to people learning a language in preparation for their next
holiday.

We also run regular social events with a specific cultural theme so you may practise the language you are learning with native speakers who are learning English at UIC.

If you prefer, you may have private tuition at UIC, at home or in the office. You can even choose the time and date of your lesson.

Our teaching methods are focused on communication. This hands-on, interactive and personalised approach ensures that you will understand and speak from the very first day.

Our method places special emphasis on the development of language skills in theform of oral and written communication, while continuing to pay attention to the theoretical aspects of the language.

The main objective of most of our courses is to improve the student's communicative skills. Due attention is also paid to grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing skills, and a wide variety of materials are used. All our courses are conducted entirely in the target language. We don't just want our students to "know a language"; we want them to be able to use it!

Our teachers are our greatest asset. All our teachers are native speakers with extensive teaching experience both in the UK and their respective countries.
