The course involves practice in writing and speaking skills, reading and listening comprehension and examination techniques and practice.

“UIC is one of the best places in London to improve your English. The teachers are so friendly and I really enjoy my lessons. The most important thing is they prepare us strongly for the IELTS exam and almost all students got good marks so they all got places in university. I recommend it to all students.”

The IELTS (International English language Testing System ) examination is designed for students who wish to study in an English-speaking university or college.
The IELTS course prepares students for this examination and also develops their study
skills. The course is aimed at students at Upper Intermediate level and above.
Students may choose to take either the Academic or the General Training Module, both of which consist of papers in reading, writing, listening and speaking. The IELTS course focuses particularly on developing these skills, rather than on giving structural input.
Most UK universities require an overall IELTS score of between 5.5 and 7.5
depending on the subject chosen. the maximum score for each paper is 9.0. Candidates achieving an overall band score of 6.0 are regarded as competent users of the language and a score of 9.0  as expert users. A minimum overall band score of 6.0 is therefore recommended to candidates seeking entry to an undergraduate degree course in an English-speaking university or college.
