Applications to British Universities are centralised through the UCAS application system. Professional advisers from British University Placements (BUP) will give you advice and help with your application form and will deal with the universities on your behalf.
The school, and the teachers, have a friendly relationship with several reputable institutions, such as Portsmouth University , North London University , Middlesex University , Goldsmiths' College London and Oxford Brookes University, and a good reputation for producing capable, independent and mature students.
UIC Graduates are now studying at a number of universities including Portsmouth, Glasgow, Essex, Anglia, Reading and University of Wales, Aberystwyth, as well as at universities in London.
We cannot guarantee that you will be accepted, but if you work hard, put in a good application, and score 6.0 in the IELTS examination, then you stand the best chance.
Note:
Art Students:
If you have not got much experience in different art forms (e.g. textiles, ceramics, or graphics), Art Departments suggest that you do a Foundation Art Year at university before you choose your specialisation for your degree course. You will need to present a portfolio of art work you have produced when you apply. We will advise you about evening classes which can help you with this.
Science Studnets:
You should check that your High School majors are appropriate for the course that you want to do. It may be necessary for you to do a Science Foundation year at the university after this course.
Post-Graduate Students:
- Most postgraduate courses such as MBAs require an IELTS score of at least 7.
- MBAs may also require you to have three years' relevant experience.
- Please check your qualifications and discuss your options with the BUP adviser.
